What's in a Name? Developers are now marketing the old Whitecroft Hospital site as the imaginatively and very tastefully-named Gatcombe Manor. The old Whitecroft name, which was good enough for Island residents for over a century, has been dropped in a fresh bid to make the apartments and houses here more saleable.
