INVESTIGATION AT THE NOTORIOUS HAUNTED VENTNOR BOTANIC GARDENS ON SATURDAY 15TH OCTOBER

Almost 30 local 'ghosthunters' joined Marc and Sarah and the team on this overnight investigation at what is undoubtedly one of the Island's most haunted hot-spots. There has been an escalating amount of paranormal activity there already this year, and the spirits didn't disappoint. Weather conditions were perfect, a dry, still and clear moonlit night. The spirits of five children made themselves known in the Edhibition room, while outside in the gardens, several more spirits were about- one, a man who worked there long ago, was seen by several people near the potting shed.  Read about the history of the old Royal National Hospital in several of Gay Baldwin's Ghostisland books.

Northwood House, Cowes -report

We held another very special event at Northwood House, Cowes, on Saturday 27 August 2011, investigating paranormal activity in the 62 rooms, cellars and tunnels of this most haunted of locations. Click here to see photos.

The sound of children at play is a common occurrence at Northwood Park, Cowes. Their excited screams, shouts and laughter are often heard there, especially at dusk - for these youngsters have no homes or warm beds to go to.....they are ghosts. Over the years local people have encountered the noisy and boisterous little spirits. Some actually see and hear them, others just hear them or feel their touch.

Northwood House was built in 1837 on the site of a former residence, called Belle Vue, by George Ward and was later given to the local council for the people of Cowes. Believed to have been designed by John Nash, it was the largest house in the town. Between 1902 and 1906, it was occupied by a community of Benedictine nuns, who later moved to Appley, and the ghost of one of these sisters is seen flitting through the bushes at night.

Other spirits, including a young girl, Alice,  are active in this magnificent old house and its underground cellars, where the ghost of a pirate known as Henry, has been seen.

REPORT OF OUR INVESTIGATION AND GHOST HUNT AT CASTLE INN, NEWPORT, FEBRUARY,  2011

Marc Tuckey and his team were at Newport's oldest pub, the haunted Castle Inn, to investigate the many spirits regularly seen and heard there, including the ghostly cavalier, the whistling stable boy and the kitchen ghost, along with a ghost cat and the kindly spirit which regularly leaves 5p pieces around the bar.  The investigation was voted a great success by all who attended, and the spirits were extremely active in several different areas of the inn.   To read the report and see photos, click here.

Shanklin Theatre -report-
Saturday 11th September 2010.

The overnight investigation at the haunted Shanklin Theatre, was a great event with plenty for everyone to experience and investigate. Two local mediums accompanied the team as we explored the haunted areas including the old mortuary. Plenty of spirit orbs caught on camera and energy registering with the EMF meters and other equipment.

The previous overnight vigil at the Crown Inn, Shorwell, in June 2010 - plenty of spirits seen and heard!

A dozen of us spent a night investigating the haunted Crown Inn with  local medium Sarah Wilkins. Many thanks to the licensees who allowed this event. Spirits were active in several parts of the 400-year-old building. Among them a five-year-old girl, Violet, who apparently died of a fever, together with her little sister, Ivy. Both were laid to rest.
